When I purchase a Developer license, must I pay for updates as new versions of the product are released?
You are entitled to receive minor product updates free of charge. In order to receive major product updates with significant functionality
added, you must upgrade to the newer version by paying the upgrade cost. For example, if you purchased Web.UI for ASP.NET version 2007.2, you
must pay the upgrade cost to move to the current version 2008.1. ComponentArt offers a low-cost license upgrade path for current customers;
for upgrade pricing please see our License Upgrades page.
In order to maximize your value and stay up to date at all times, you may wish to consider purchasing one of our Subscription
Licenses. Subscription Licenses (including Enterprise licenses)
include all minor and major software updates to all products in the Web.UI suite - as well as all new component products added
to the suite - for a period of 1 year.

How does a Subscription License work?
The Subscription License includes all minor and major product updates for a specific suite of products, for a period of
one year.
A Subscription License provides the greatest long-term value, and is the best way to ensure that you are using the most
powerful, up-to-date versions of our components at all times.

and the cost will be that of a new Subscription License.
For Enterprise licenses, we will contact you prior to your subscription expiration date to revise and renew your
Enterprise subscription.

Can I continue to use the product once my Subscription License expires?
If you do not renew your license by the specified date, you will still be able to continue to use the last version of the
software released while your subscription was still active. You will not, however, continue to receive the additional benefits
of our subscription service (such as major product updates and new product releases), or updated product releases.

I am an individual who wants to purchase your Developer License for development — but there
is someone at my company who occasionally backs me up in my job function. Must we purchase an additional license for
that person as well?
Provided that THE SOFTWARE IS NOT INSTALLED AND IN USE AT THE SAME MOMENT ON BOTH WORKSTATIONS AT ANY GIVEN
TIME — you do not need to purchase an additional license. If more than one developer will use the product
concurrently on an ongoing basis, you should purchase additional licenses.

Is Charting included with the Web.UI Subscription License?
A Web.UI Subscription License does not include either the full WebChart for ASP.NET or Charting for .NET products; Web.UI and Charting
are two separate product lines, and are therefore licensed separately. WebChart Lite, however, is a 2D component included with Web.UI.
WebChart Lite includes all of the 2D features of the full WebChart for ASP.NET control, except for AJAX interactivity and the client-side API. If you require advanced
3D charting capabilities you can purchase the full WebChart for ASP.NET product from our Online Store.

-
